I’m being seen 3 times a week right now, and I am so over it! I’m going to feel so lost with such an empty schedule once I no longer have appointments all over the city multiple times a week. I only have 4-5 weeks left, and after that I am done! I know there will be at least one post-partum checkup, and then the appointments for baby, but it’ll beat being the one being constantly poked and prodded, measured and weighed. The only thing I will still be looking at is the scales because hopefully I’ll be losing weight!

Over the years I’ve gotten better at shopping for large ticket items, though there’s definitely always room to improve. For example, I got a baby changing table from Goodwill for $10, spent $9 on spray paint, and voila – I have a baby changing table that pretty closely matches the crib, and for only 19 bucks. Other things you could do to get deals, is perhaps find a cheap dresser that has scratches, and therefore is sold very cheap because the previous owner no longer wants it or doesn’t want to do the easy work to fix it. Or even better, a leather sofa that maybe has a tear or a cut.. I’ve seen so many of those being sold for super cheap or even being given away for free because people think they can’t get money out of a sofa with holes in it. However, leather sofa repair is not very difficult, nor is it expensive. In fact, if you get a cheap or free couch and all you’re paying for is a quick repair or refinishing of the leather? You could get a really amazing deal out of it!
